The proper design of a Concentrated solar power (CSP) plant and the associated thermal energy storage requires careful analysis yearly expected irradiance environmental conditions. System simulations based on accurate components models allow prediction performance interactions. various scenarios provide information that will help tuning to improve whole system at off-design In this paper, focus is set radial turbine expander which one most important component. Classical simulation approaches use map model for turbine. This require generate either with meanline models, CFD or experiments. not very convenient when iterating if actual does exist yet. work, inflow operating real gas has been implemented in MODELICA language first time authors’ best knowledge. coupled available CSP sCO2 Brayton cycle MODELON ThermalPower library.
